Osseo Area Schools Community Education
Community Education creates opportunities that positively impact our whole community through innovative and responsive programs and services.
The Early Childhood program in Osseo Area Schools provides high quality, developmentally appropriate classes and opportunities for all young children and their families. Early Childhood staff are committed to providing safe and nurturing environments that promote the physical, social, emotional, aesthetic, intellectual, and language development of each child—while being sensitive to the unique needs and preferences of families.
Community Education plays a critical role in helping children learn, grow and thrive. Youth-focused programs and services create safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environments that foster global curiosity, belonging, innovation and engagement.
Youth Enrichment classes and programs are an excellent way to engage your child after school, in the evening or on the weekend. Most classes are held after school in district buildings for elementary and middle school students and include: arts & crafts, chess, coding, engineering, game design, languages, music lessons, parent & child classes, robotics, sports of all sorts, technology, theater and more!
Kidstop School Age Care provides a supportive, fun school-age education experience before and after school in a safe and welcoming environment where children are inspired, personal growth is nurtured and families are supported.Choice-based programming allows your child to make decisions about how they want to spend their time while in our program which can help develop leadership skills as well as confidence.
We provide programs that meet the diverse needs of adults in our community. From parent education to basic education, leisure activities and skills training, our courses and programming are bound to have something that ignites your passion, your and curiosity for lifelong learning.
We build community and support a lifetime of learning by being a trusted leader and creative resource in coordinating access to district facilities. Osseo Area Schools welcomes and encourages the use of district facilities by any individual, group, or business.
As Minnesota’s fifth-largest school district, Osseo Area Schools Community Education serves eight communities, including Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Corcoran, Dayton, Maple Grove, Osseo, Plymouth and Rogers. There are a variety of ways community members can get involved and make a positive impact in our whole community.
