Adult Basic Education

Our mission is to inspire and prepare all students with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.

Osseo Area Schools Adult Basic Education (ABE) offers free classes for adults. Our caring, patient staff can help you achieve your goal! We can help you to:

  • Learn English.
  • Improve your reading, writing, or math skills.
  • Prepare for the GED exam.
  • Earn an Adult Diploma.

Our school year begins in September and continues through early June. We take students into our program throughout the entire school year.

  • Our EL program is for students who want classes to learn English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing).
  • Our ABE program is for students who want classes to work on reading, writing, and math skills.
