End of the school year celebrations, part two

The last week of the 2024-25 school year wrapped up with many fun events for students and their families to enjoy. Here's just a few of the festivities:

279Online elementary celebration 

On the last day of school, elementary school students and staff from 279Online gathered at Elm Creek Park Reserve to celebrate a successful school year. Students made tie-dye t-shirts, created designs with chalk, painted rocks, enjoyed pizza and ice cream and signed each other's yearbooks.

 

Crest View Elementary School alumni event

Current and former staff, students and parents from Crest View’s 65-year history attended the school’s alumni event June 3. Attendees celebrated the school together by looking at photos, old yearbooks and other memorabilia, touring the school, eating, and visiting with others who have connections to Crest View.

Early Childhood preschool end of year celebrations 

Early Childhood preschool and prekindergarten students and staff across the district celebrated the end of the school year in a variety of ways. At Arbor View Early Childhood Center, in one classroom there was fun music, singing and movement for students and staff with Mr. Bob. In another classroom, students and families enjoyed a picture slideshow of the student’s fun and learning throughout the school year, snack time and singing together.

Fernbrook Elementary School fifth grade celebration

Fifth graders at Fernbrook Elementary School celebrated the end of the school year with a barbecue and outdoor games on June 5. The outdoor games included various “minute to win it” games, Connect Four and Jenga. Students also signed each other's shirts, took photos in a photo booth and enjoyed cotton candy.

Kidstop school-age care at Elm Creek Elementary School


Kidstop at Elm Creek Elementary School celebrated the end of the school year outside. Some students played basketball and on the playground, while others relaxed and chatted with friends. The highlight was a surprise visit from staff dressed in an inflatable dinosaur costume. It was the perfect way to wrap up a fun-filled school year!

Maple Grove Middle School’s eighth grade celebration

Maple Grove Middle School’s Parents and Community Together (PACT) group put on an eighth grade celebration the afternoon of June 6. Students enjoyed games, food, activities and music during the event, which took place on their last day of middle school. 

 

North View Middle School’s field day

North View Middle School celebrated the last day of school with a field day June 6. The event included a deejay, snacks, face painting and outdoor games for the students to enjoy. 

 

Oak View Husky Hero parade

The entire school at Oak View Elementary got involved in an end of the school year Husky Hero parade on June 6. A Maple Grove police vehicle and fire truck led the celebratory paraders into the parking lot, where the school’s parents and staff were gathered to cheer for the students as they walked by wearing hats or crowns and with a variety of colorful banners they had created for the event. 

 

Osseo Education Center all-school barbecue

Students, staff and families at the Osseo Education Center gathered on June 4 for an all-school barbecue after a graduation ceremony. Attendees sat out in the beautiful weather while enjoying hot dogs, burgers and mini donuts. 

 

Osseo Middle School all-school celebration

Students at Osseo Middle School rang in the last day of the school year with an all-school celebration, including a photo booth, activities on the football field, a DJ and food trucks.
