Nine Osseo Area Schools win award for counseling programming

Osseo Area Schools recently had nine of its schools honored at the Minnesota School Counselor Association (MSCA) Conference for being Recognized Model Program schools through the American School Counselor Association (ASCA.) To earn this recognition, schools must implement an ASCA-aligned school counseling program and submit an application, which takes over a year to complete.

The district’s recognized schools include:

Elementary schools:
Woodland
Oak View
Garden City
Basswood

Secondary schools:
Brooklyn Middle STEAM
North View Middle
Park Center Senior High
Osseo Senior High
Maple Grove Senior High

Numerous other district schools are currently working on their applications to become Recognized ASCA Model Programs (RAMP) in hopes that this list of recognitions will continue to grow for Osseo Area Schools.
