Osseo Area Schools hosts Spring Career Expo

Osseo Area Schools hosts Spring Career Expo

Osseo Area Schools hosted a Spring Career Expo on Feb. 26 at Zanewood Community: A STEAM School. The Career Expo was open to anyone looking for licensed and non-licensed positions for both the school-year and summer.

Twenty-nine interviews were conducted on-site during the career expo, for positions such as teachers, Education Support Professionals and custodians. Presentation sessions took place every 15 minutes on topics such as benefits, equity work, professional learning opportunities, new teacher mentoring, resources and information on why Osseo should be applicants’ employer of choice. In the gym, there were tables from different departments across the district, including Community Education, Transportation, Nutrition Services, Learning and Achievement, Educational Equity, Technology Services and Facilities. There was also an application room where attendees could fill out an application on-site.

"Osseo Area Schools is committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse and talented workforce to meet the needs of our students and communities,” said Laurel Anderson, executive director of human resources. “We not only work to give our students the opportunity to shine and show their brilliance, but also to our staff and teams.”

A variety of positions are still available for those looking to work in Osseo Area Schools. To learn more and apply, please visit www.district279.org/careers
