CampRocks! 2024 (PDF)

This program runs for five weeks (20 total days) during the summer and focuses on reading, math and science standards. Scholars must be recommended into the program by a teacher because they meet specific criteria to qualify. Students that qualify will not pay a fee to attend and will be required to complete the appropriate paperwork located at each elementary school. There is not an option to pay a fee for this program due to the funding we receive. Your student's teacher will determine if they qualify for the program. If you have questions about your student's eligibility, please speak to their classroom teacher directly.

Academic Adventures is for students who are currently in grades kindergarten through fourth grade. Information for students in fifth grade will be available in March and are directed towards available middle school summer opportunities. The program runs for five weeks (Monday-Thursday): June 24-27, July 8-11, July 15-18, July 22-25 and July 29-Aug. 1. (No program offered the week of July 1-5)

Enrollment for Camp ROCKS! Academic Adventures CLOSES March 22, 2024. Enrollment is on paper form only and is not online for electronic enrollment. Transportation will determine if you are eligible for a bus based on your current address and will place your student at a summer site: Crest View Elementary School, Fair Oaks Elementary School or Weaver Lake: A Science, Math & Technology School. Families are not able to choose their summer site.

Description: Assisting students in passing core courses including: Math, English, Social Studies, and Science. Provide additional strategies to support vocabulary and comprehension.

Monday – Thursday, 8:30-11:30

• Session One – June 10-June 27
• Session Two – July 8-July 18
• Session Three – July 22-August 1
• Session Four – August 5-August 15

About Safeway Driving School Safeway Driving School was selected by Osseo Area Schools and the Community Education department to provide teen driver’s education for our schools. Safeway is the largest driving school in MN, instructing over 10,000 students per year. It has been an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), is a BBB Accredited Business and has approximately ninety experienced instructors that are background checked by MN Dept. of Public Safety. Lesson calendars and information are located on Safeway Driving School’s website at safewaydrivingschool.com.

In-Person Classroom Training
Can be taken by students who are 14-1/2 years or older and consists of ten, three-hour interactive lessons. Each lesson is independent and can be taken in any order. If a lesson is missed, you can make it up at your convenience. If you are more than five minutes late to class you will not be allowed in and will have to make-up the class. This is a requirement of the MN DMV.

Online Classroom Training
You must provide your own personal device with video/audio capability for online classes. You’re expected to be on-time and must be seen by the instructor for the entire three hours. If you are more than five minutes late to class you will not be allowed in and will have to make-up the class. This is a requirement of the MN DMV.

Behind-the-Wheel (BTW)
Behind-the-wheel training is three, two-hour lessons which you schedule online or by calling Safeway’s office at (651) 351-9150. Pick-up and drop-off is scheduled for home, school or work. Training is done in a white car with Safeway’s “Student Driver” graphics.
